Job Description:

· Design, develop, and implement SQL database instances for the development and production environments in AZURE Cloud

· Migrate application date from on-prem databases to Cloud databases

· Monitor and maintain database security and database software

· Experienced with DMS (Database Migration Services) Tools to migrate data from On-premises to Cloud.

· Daily maintenance, monitoring, problem resolution and internal customer for production and dev support

· On-call for production databases

· Test, validate and implement performance and resource optimization improvements in consultation with AZURE development Teams

· Database & Application ( MySQL & PL/SQL ) performance tuning

· Backup and recovery tools of AZURE & traditional backup & recovery tools

· Root cause analysis of production-related database issues

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent

• 4 - 6 years SQL Database Administration experience with administering and supporting multiple SQL databases on Windows/UNIX/Linux platform

• 2 – 3 year experience in AZURE RDS is key

• 3 year experience with conducting performance tuning, backup/recovery, and scalability/capacity planning, in addition to SQL, PL/SQL, and UNIX shell scripting

• 3 years IT troubleshooting/problem-solving experience.
