SQL Server DBA

Mandatory Technical / Functional Skills

• In Depth knowledge of Database Fundamentals
• Knowledge of installation and configuration SQL Server database from scratch
• Knowledge of Tuning database configuration and parameters for optimal system performance.
• Knowledge of continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the MS SQL Server environments.
• Expert knowledge in Database backup and restore functions for MS SQL Server databases
•Knowledge of performance tuning.
• Experience in maintaining application databases with optimal data file and log file sizes
• Knowledge of SSIS\SSRS Configuration\Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of TFS( Team Foundation Server), Visual Studio, SSL\TLS Protocols

Roles and responsibility

• Install, configure and maintain Microsoft SQL Server2008 R2 and SQL Server 2012 in Windows 2008 and Windows 2012 R2 server
• Tune database configuration and parameters for optimal system performance.
• Assist developers in detecting performance problems including analysis of SQL, Transact-SQL,OLEDB and ODBC connections.
• Provide continuous monitoring, troubleshooting, historical and real time performance monitoring of the MS SQL Server environments.
• Provide backup and restore functions for MS SQL Server databases
• Periodically refresh development and test databases using copy of production system.
• Configure and manage the database systems as per security guidelines and industry best practices such as SOX, HIPAA, and PCI. Must know Data de-identification process.
• Maintain SQL Report Server databases using SQL Database Replication
• Maintain highly secure SQL Server databases using SQL Transparent Data Encryption, SQL Line Encryption, and enhanced SQL Server auditing features
• Application tuning and performance monitoring.
• Create and maintain application databases with optimal data file and log file sizes
• Scopes and documents necessary infrastructure and other requirements for managing database environment.
• Knows SSIS\SSRS Configuration\Troubleshooting
• Knowledge of TFS( Team Foundation Server), Visual Studio, SSL\TLS Protocols

Desirable Technical / Functional Skills

•Experience in Healthcare Industry
• Bachelor Degree
• Knowledge of TFS( Team Foundation Server), Visual Studio, SSL\TLS Protocols
